Christ our Heavenly Judge

Something that came to me- if you have ever had to stand before a earthly judge, they have the power to have leniency or to throw the book at you based on whether they like your attitude. (I was in trouble with the law before I got saved and stood before a judge) While I was in court my lawyer strongly urged me to address the judge as "Sir". He had the power to send me to prison or let me off depending on how he liked my attitude! There is a legal charge called "contempt of court"- if you seem to disrespect the judge or have a bad attitude they can charge you with that and send you to prison for it! The scripture says that everyone will have to answer for every word they have ever spoken against God. Just like this our heavenly judge, Jesus Christ, will send us to heaven or hell depending on how we answer and how He likes it! Another thing- the bible says that everyone will receive a fair judgement, and also that everyone will have to answer for every word they have ever spoken against God. It must be this way for it to be fair, Christ will take everything down to the minutest detail into consideration while He decides our eternal fate! This is very serious business as it will determine where we spend eternity, and I think Christ will take it very seriously! However the believer has already passed the judgement by the blood of Jesus!
